Air France, a part of the Franco-Dutch carrier group Air France-KLM, has also canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until Monday. The company's website states that customers have the option to postpone or cancel their trips free of charge. However, KLM is still operating flights to Tel Aviv from Tuesday onwards, as reported on its website.
Other airlines that have halted flight operations to and from Tel Aviv until Monday include U.K. budget airline easyJet, low-cost airline Wizz Air Holdings, TAP Air Portugal, and ITA Airways (formerly known as Alitalia).
Meanwhile, British Airways, part of International Consolidated Airlines Group, is planning to continue operating flights with adjusted departure times. The airline is closely monitoring the situation in Israel and has implemented a flexible booking policy to allow customers to change their travel dates without any additional charges if desired.
As news of flight cancellations broke, it had a significant impact on the European airline industry, causing share prices to fall. On Monday, Deutsche Lufthansa saw a decrease of 2.5%, Air France-KLM dropped by 3.3%, easyJet experienced a decline of 5.3%, and Wizz Air faced a 6.7% decrease in share prices.
